Tesla Will Sell you Used Cars Too

Is Tesla the new Craigslist? Okay, maybe not.

In a discrete effort to be even more awesome, Tesla has taken yet another step into controlling (very well) how their cars reach their potential customers. They now have a certified pre-owned program that allows you to buy a used Tesla straight from their site at a much reduced cost but with all the benefits of a Tesla quality-controlled and warrantied product.

All of Tesla’s pre-owned vehicles are stored at Tesla facilities, which means that they might have to expand their storage capacity at some point. You won’t be able to inspect the vehicles yourself, but at the same time, you won’t have to deal with crummy used car dealers either. At the time of this writing, I’m seeing Model S P85 models starting at $75k-ish with just a scratch over 40,000 km on them in the Montreal area, a great deal for such a vehicle. All cars undergo an extensive 214-point inspection to ensure “like-new condition.” An appealing option for cars growing more and more in appeal each day.
