2012 Ford Mustang GT – Lines and Power Galore, but Not for the Faint of Heart

This may not be the prancing horse, but this one isn’t wasting any time prancing.

When you spend some years with the same vehicle, it becomes difficult to qualify or even quantify the experience. So many different thoughts have had the time to come and go, so many different experiences to modify or create those thoughts. You would think our job would have to include having a logbook at the ready at any point in time. I believe it is best to just reflect back and put it down, however.

Ford Releases Details on Focus RS

0-100 in 4.7 seconds. Top speed of 265 km/h. And a whole lotta love.

Ford released final details on the widely anticipated and possibly most discussed Ford performance vehicle of these times, the Focus RS. Positioned to be basically everything the Focus ST wanted to be, but so very much more than that, the RS is supposed to be the Yin to the VW Golf R’s Yang and the holy grail to the shopaholic in need of petrol in the veins. It is a 350 hp, 350 lb.ft of torque, AWD menacing machine that WILL bring your parents to your kid’s birthday party and back, dammit.

2015 Ford Fiesta ST – The Go-Kart on Steroids. Yes, It’s Cliché

2015 Ford Fiesta ST

And she’ll have fun, fun, fun till her daddy takes the ST away. Isn’t that how the song goes? If not, I am taking the liberty to adapt it because the 2015 Ford Fiesta ST totally deserves it. Don’t tell the Beach Boys.

When I said I was picking up that little red 2015 Ford Fiesta ST parked right there, everyone had the same reaction: “Oh you’re going to have so much fun.” Either that or “I haven’t driven it yet.” I was pretty confident I was in for a treat because that’s what I enjoy driving the most: agile, nervous, little cars. Plus, I hadn’t touched a manual transmission in over a month, since I had left my own personal car behind to take on my role as a journalist with the difficult, difficult task of testing a different car every week. Someone’s got to do the dirty work. And after a series of automatic transmissions and CVTs, going back to a three-pedal setup felt like I was a junkie getting a free pass to her chemically-induced nirvana. Or should I say mechanically-induced.

2015 Ford C-Max – Go Green or Go Home

Hybrids have gone a long way since their shaky, mass-market beginnings almost 20 years ago. The 2015 Ford C-Max is one of those new age, modern day hybrids, introduced to the American market only three years ago. But let’s take a minute here to appreciate the fact that Ford actually makes good hybrids. Who knew?

Pimp my F-150

What’s a good working truck if you can’t worry about your leather and rimz?

Ford has a vision. A vision to allow pickup owners to differentiate themselves from other high-end pickup buyers (sic). There vision lies in the new top-dog Limited F-150, Ford’s most advanced and luxurious F-150 ever.

2015 Ford Escape 2.0 EcoBoost Titanium – Not Your Average Soccer Mom

The Escape has drastically changed calling through the years. From capable, mid-size SUV, it has now turned into a compact, family-oriented crossover. I thought I would turn into a soccer mom by the end of the week, but it turns out there’s a bit of everything for everyone to enjoy, including for a dynamic driver like me.

After driving the Nissan Rogue on close to 4,000 kilometers last year, I had come to the conclusion that today’s crossovers have lost a lot of their adventurous personality and traded it for family comfort and fuel economy. The 2015 Ford Escape had the mission of either making or breaking the mold. It got me wondering if there was any way a family car could also compromise on quality driving, for the family (wo)man who also doubles as car enthusiast. Because that’s my mission, being the no-kid, single woman that I am, who enjoys sport coupes a lot more than comfort: finding the perfect balance of utility and fun. And in that matter, the Escape receives a pretty good grade. Surprisingly.

2015 Ford Mustang Fastback EcoBoost – The Statement Car

I have always had a soft spot for Mustangs, but my driving experience of a 2012 Ford Mustang V6 convertible left me second guessing what suddenly felt like an unjustified passion. The EcoBoost might have been the antidote to that.

I can hear you from miles away, all offended and stuff. A four-cylinder Mustang, what are you thinking? This is a pony-legacy sacrilege. The eighties proved us how terrible a four-cylinder engine in a Mustang can be. Those are normally the comments of people who haven’t driven said 2015 four-cylinder turbo version. Because let me tell you, you might change your mind.

Ford Leads the Super Hot Hatch Pack with 345 hp Focus RS

Bye bye, STI. So long, Golf R. Ford has made a stand with their new Focus RS.

According to Ford via Autoblog, the new Focus RS has a confirmed output of 350 PS or 345 hp translated to our numbers.
